Portland Thorns final regular season match
The Thorns are officially in the playoffs! The only thing still needed to be decided is where? Friday’s game could allow them to grab a home spot when they take on Seattle at Providence Park at 7pm. With a number of scenarios at play, the short version is this: If the Thorns win, they’ll clinch second place and host the semifinal at home with a Providence Park-hosted 2018 NWSL Championship on Sept. 22 just on the horizon.
Rose City Comic Con – Friday Sept 7th-9th
Its time for all things comics this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center! While the main focus is on comics, comic creators and the process, this event also includes gaming, sci-fi, cosplay, anime, fantasy and everything in between. Many attendees come in costume adding to the fun and family-friendly experience.
First Friday and Street Exhibition – Friday Sept 7
Located in Portland’s vibrant East side Arts District, the First Friday Art Walk takes place on the first Friday evening of every month from 6-9 p.m. Offering a gateway into Portland’s thriving arts culture, First Friday PDX includes more than 23 independent galleries, shops, and studios, as well as a street exhibition from April to October. The self-guided tour is free and open to locals and visitors!
Belmont Street Fair – Sunday September 9th
The annual Belmont Street Fair is the weekend. Get to know this inner southeast neighborhood with family-friendly shopping, music, food and fun on SE Belmont Street between SE 33rd and SE 39th Avenues in SE Portland. The event is from 11:00 to 7:00 and is free.
Singin’ in the Square – Sunday September 9th
Sing along with your community and Pink Martini’s Thomas Lauderdale in Portland’s Living Room on Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm. Gather friends, family and neighbors to join in for an afternoon filled with singing, dancing and fun!
