Hello, weekend – September is coming to an end, so there’s no denying that summer is over! Fortunately our Oregon weather is still allowing us to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Here’s some fun things to do this weekend:
September 22nd-23rd – Mid-Century Modern Tour
Restore Oregon presents the Mid-Century Modern Tour. Its a three part event that includes a self-guided, self-driving home tour, a lecture and after-tour party. This year’s tour will feature four fabulous homes and shed new light on the career of William Fletcher–an unheralded master of modernism. The tour hopes to draw attention to the need for thoughtful preservation of Modern architecture.
Sept 22nd-24th – Oregon International Air Show
The Breitling Jet Team‘s final Oregon performance is coming up today at the Oregon International Air Show at Hillsboro Airport. Flying begins at noon and lasts until 4:00. This year’s air show promises aerial acrobatics, skydivers, a kid’s zone rides & Friday night fireworks!
September 23rd – Museum Day
Museum Day Live! is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine that allows you and a friend to visit your favorite museum for free! Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket. The Museum Day Live ticket provides free admission for two people.
September 24th – Sunday Parkways
Sunday parkway season is coming to an end and this weekend’s will be the last year for the “Sellwaukie” route – check out this beautiful 8 mile route along with live music, food, and marketplaces along the route.
