February 16th – Couples Cooking Valentines Day
Portland’s Culinary Workshop is offering a special class for couples this weekend. Work together as a team, and spend some quality time making food for two on this Valentine’s Day. In this relaxed, fun class where you will create a four-course special menu catered just for you and your sweetie. When you’re done, you’ll get to sit and enjoy your creations and take away recipes for two and an experience you shared. Space is limited and tickets are going fast!
February 16 – 17th – KidFest
Want to show your kids how much you love them this Valentines Day? Then treat them to a weekend at KidsFest! The show, hosted by the Portland Expo Center, is the largest family extravaganza in the North West, filled TONS of incredible activities! You’ll get to bounce around in inflatable fun zones, zip-line, climb a rock wall, play paint ball and so much more! The event will also include stage shows with the Incredibles, Spiderman, Woody & Jessie, Princess Elena & Cinderella, as well as feature a petting zoo & reptile exhibits. You’re family is sure to have an amazing time!
February 15 – 17th – Chinese New Year Festival
This is your last chance to experience Lan Su’s celebration of the most colorful and joyous of all Chinese festivals! You’ll get to witness lion dances, cultural performances, martial arts, calligraphy, family-friendly craft activities and much more! The celebration ends with several nights of Lantern Viewing Evenings when the garden is illuminated with colorful lanterns and a lively dragon procession. The event started at the earlier this month and wraps up on February 19th – don’t miss out!
February 15 – 17th – Live Theater
Not into the the traditional version of Valentines Day, filled with romantic dinners and candlelight? Then you’ll love this show by Deep End Theater! Faint of Heart is an improvised show inspired by the comedies and tragedies of Shakespeare. A hilarious exploration of romantic love against the backdrop of the Elizabethan era, when speech was restrained, marriages are arranged, and true meanings are hidden behind poetry and verse. Join them each night as a new story is written about the challenge, the condition, and the gift of love.
