Hello, weekend!  The leaves are falling and its starting to feel a little bit like Halloween!  This weekend includes some events that are definitely keeping it weird!  We’ve got some less “weird” options too, so something for everyone!

Portland Fall Home Show – October 4th-7th

Planning some winter home projects, want to learn how to DIY, or just looking for some inspiration?  Then the Portland Fall Home Show is for you.  Visit the Portland Expo Center for all things home-improvement.  This year’s theme is Oktoberfest!  Open from 11-8 daily.  Admission is $10, 12 & under are free!

Greek festival – October 5th-7th

It’s Portland’s 67th Annual Greek Festival – join in on all things Greek at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.  Taste the food, enjoy the entertainment, learn about the history, and enter to win a trip to Greece! Open 10am-10pm Friday and Saturday and 11am-8pm.  Admission is Free!

Weird film festival – October 5th-7th

Tickets are on sale now for the 22nd Annual H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival at the Hollywood Theater! This year’s lineup includes more than 40 independent short and feature films from around the world, hours of panel discussions, author readings, gaming, live events, and special guests.

Bigfoot festival – October 6th

Head to Home Valley, WA – “the heart of Sasquatch country” this weekend for the Bigfoot Bash at Logtoberfest from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm with free admission for all ages. Engage and experience chain saw art, wooden crafts, vintage logging equipment demonstrations, Sasquatch vendors, autumn plants, pumpkins and more.
Skamania County, Washington has a rich and varied history but there are two reoccurring themes that stand the test of time … logging and Sasquatch.

Kite festival – October 6th & 7th

The Lincoln City Fall Kite Festival is held on the beach, in the center of Lincoln City, from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.  The festival includes kite flying demonstrations by experts, free kids kite making, running of the bols, and some of the most colorful “big” kites in the world!  Admission is free!
