Hello, weekend! It’s getting super spooky around town, and we love it! Halloween isn’t until Tuesday, but there are plenty of events around to celebrate the holiday. But don’t worry, if Halloween isn’t for you, there’s plenty of other fun activities to do!
October 27-29 — 13th Door Haunted House
This attraction is rated as the #1 Haunted House in the Northwest, and we are sure there will be lots of visitors who want to enjoy a frightful night. Doors open at 7pm! The tours are up and running from 7pm-11pm on Friday and Saturday, and until 10pm on Sunday. Not into intense horror? That’s okay! If you don’t like to walk around with the lights off, there will be a special “Lights on Tour” on Saturday the 28th at 1pm.
October 28th — Halloween Fun at the Portland Aerial Tram
If you’re looking for a family friendly activity to do this weekend, you can get a quick Halloween fix in the sky. Costumes are encouraged for Halloween Fun at the Portland Aerial Tram, and you’ll be able to ride the tram anytime from 9-5 on Saturday. Have a kid under the age of 6? They can ride free with a paying adult. Fun and free activities are from 11am – 3pm. So take a trip to the tram in Southwest Portland! They’ll be plenty of action waiting for you.
October 28th & 29th — America’s Largest Antique & Collectible Show
A blast from the past is always fun, especially if there’s plenty to see under one roof. It doesn’t matter if you would like to collect a few items for yourself or get a few of your items appraised, you’ll be able to do both if you decide to attend America’s Largest Antique & Collectible Show. Some of the popular items you’ll find include pop collectibles, vintage clothing, glassware, silverware, antique radios, and Star Wars Collectibles just to name a few.
October 29th – Cat Videos Live
Stay weird, Portland! If you want to experience the cat video phenomenon with other animal enthusiasts this weekend, here’s your chance. The Cat Videos Live event will be hosted by NYC based entertainer, Carla Rhodes. If you’re a cat video creator, you’ll have a chance to showcase your cat too!
October 29th – Portland’s Davis Graveyard
If you’re looking for a spooky event that’s free, take a trip to Portland’s Davis Graveyard. Another thig, this is not a haunted house. This is a display of a family’s hard work, they’ve decorated their house with over 80 tombstones, a mausoleum and a three-story ruined abby. Thanks to the nice weather, special effects featuring fog and animatronic effects will be up and running starting at Dusk.
