Show the Gorge Some Love – October 2017
The Oregon and Washington Gorge fell victim to a terrible forest fire earlier this year, but now that the fire is under control and I84 is open in both directions, the surrounding communities are inviting people to spend more time in the area. It doesn’t matter if you’re a visitor or a resident, there’s plenty of activities to do and local business who would appreciate support as the area’s economy and environment continues to recover. There will also be opportunities to make donations to Gorge-based organizations that will work on restoration and relief efforts. Bottom line, the Gorge will recover, but there’s plenty of work to be done over the next several months and years. To Show the Gorge Some Love, all you have to do is support and enjoy the areas that are safe to navigate through.
