Meet the Producers – October 9th-30th
Hear talks by local people producing TV shows, documentaries, music videos, commercials, animation, visual effects, and short films at Meet the Producers: The View From Here on four weekday evenings at the Portland Art Museum. Whether your interest is feature films, advertising, producing for broadcast, cable, or web content, emerging technology, or gaining general perspective on the film business, come for a glimpse of their work, the fast changing worlds in which they get it done, and the opportunity to ask questions of those who live it everyday.
Portland Green Building Slam – October 12th
The feature event of Portland Sustainable Building Week, the Green Building Slam consists of 10 interesting lectures by builders of 10 innovative projects lasting 10 minutes each. The event showcases cutting-edge projects and technologies aimed at bringing about substantial change in our regional building practices. 6:30-10pm at Ecotrust.

Artist Open House – October 13th & 14th and 20st-21st
Visit the studios of 100 Portland artists on the self-guided Portland Open Studios tour to see their work, techniques, and spaces. Portland Open Studios creates a unique educational opportunity for the public to witness art in the making, and learn about media, materials and the business of creative endeavor. The Tour is composed of local artists who apply and are selected through a blind jury process.
