November 9-11th – Holiday Gift Show
The 29th Annual Holiday Food & Gift Festival returns at the Oregon Convention Center, in downtown Portland. This festival is one of the largest holiday celebrations in the Northwest, drawing thousands of people each year who happily complete their holiday shopping early. The festival offers one-of-a-kind gifts that cannot be found anywhere else. Featuring art, crafts, jewelry, clothing, wood, music, photography, toys, Christmas décor, and much more! There is a large food area where you can sample and purchase food items including tea, chocolates, pasta, soups, dips, meats, coffee, jams, shortbread, salsas honey, sauces and many more delights! November 9-11th – Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention
Not ready to face the reality of the holidays quite yet? Then OryCon 40 is the place for you! OryCon is Oregon’s premier, fan run, annual science fiction/fantasy convention held in Portland since 1979. The event is a 100% volunteer based production of Oregon Science Fiction Conventions, Inc. The event features art shows, games and crafts, author readings, 40 costume and jewelry vendors, and “Guests of Honor.” There is a schedule posted online so you can make the most out of your trip to Jantzen Beach.
