McMenamins 19th Annual UFO Festival – May 17th – 19th

If you want to get a head start on your weekend, starting today, McMenamins is hosting their 19th annual UFO festival in honor of a McMinnville resident who photographed what appeared to be signs of extraterrestrial life.  Join the fun with a parade, pet costume contest, 5k alien dash, trivia night, and more.  There will also be several speakers who will tell you all about their alien encounters, UFO secrecy and Area 51.

An Evening with Bill Nye – May 18th

According to some, climate change is here.  Bill Nye has taken the matter into his own hands, and will be coming to Portland for the first time ever!  His mission is to help others learn more about what we can do to help save our planet.  He knows that together, we can work together to move mountains.  Meet him and learn more about his mission at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland.

First Annual Portland Dog Boneanza – May 19th

A group of realtors who have a love for their dogs and yoga are thrilled to present their first Annual Portland Dog Boneanza. If you and your furry family member decide to attend, your money and donations will benefit Family Dogs New Life Shelter, a no-kill 501 c3 non-profit in Southeast Portland.   Doga (yep, yoga for dogs) will kick off the event at 9am.  After doga, there will be plenty of other dog-friendly events throughout the day.

PDX Skincare Festival – May 19th

Depressed Cake Shop pop-up – May 20th

Did you know that one in every 5 people will suffer from or be affected by a mental health issue during their lifetime?  While the name of the Depressed Cake Shop™ may lead you to believe that it’s a sad establishment, it’s not!  It is a unique platform that aims to bring awareness to mental health issues that several people face.  Stop by for baked goods.  You’ll also be able to talk about how to help raise funds for mental health charities.
