March 8th – Rock & Gem Show

See rocks, minerals, gems, jewelry, fossils, and beads at the 61st Annual Rock & Gem Show of Tualatin Valley Gem Club at Oregon Army National Guard in Forest Grove. There will be plenty of vendors and displays of impressive lapidary arts. There will also be door prizes, a silent auction, demonstrations and a kids corner for the future geologists and rock collectors. Admission only  $1 and kids 12 and under get in for free!

March 9th – Trail Blazers Game

Turns out there are a lot of Arizona transplants in Portland these days, right behind California and Washington. This weekends Trail Blazers game against the Phoenix Suns should be a pretty exciting match, with plenty of people cheering on both sides. Get your tickets today and have fun rooting for your home team!

March 7 – 9th – Dance Show

Montreal dance company Marie Chouinard has been an icon of Canadian dance since 1990. Watch as the group performs two works at Newmark Theatre this weekend. The first is “inspired by the India ink drawings and poetry of the Belgian artist Henri Michaux,” and the second is performed to a live piano performance of Chopin’s stirring Preludes. The performance focuses on the exploration of the body in immediate, intelligible and ever-surprising ways. Tickets are only $35, and with a show this unique and inspiring, you can bet seats will fill up fast.

March 8 – 10th – Live Theater

Eastside Theater Company presents The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, a play about four children who visit the magical land of Narnia, meet mythical creatures, and defeat a witch, in Gresham. Support the theater and their mission to educate, challenge, and inspire young artists to excellence. Admission ranges from $9-$12, so don’t don’t miss out on the intense action of chases, duels and escapes in an effort to save the magical Aslan!
