No Pants Ride – January 7th
Although this seems like a quintessentially Portland thing, its actually a worldwide event, The No Pants Subway Ride. This annual event staged by Improv Everywhere started in New York City as a small prank with seven guys and now has dozens of cities around the world participating in the celebration of silliness. Wondering how it works? Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants, acting as if they don’t know each other and all wearing winter clothing except for pants. If this sounds funny to you, join from 2-3:30 and ride the MAX downtown, Starting at Skidmore Fountain on Sunday, January 7th.
