Liz found RDF through a temporary position, and soon realized it was a place that she wanted to be a part of permanently. After being a member of Team RDF for seven months, Liz shares some insights on what’s unique about her as well as some of her favorite things about RDF.
What’s your position and what do you do?
I’m a legal assistant and I provide support to the attorneys and our clients through administrative tasks.
What was the draw that brought you to RDF and/or what do you like best about working here?
I wanted to help people and be in an intellectually stimulating environment. What I like best about working here is my absolutely lovely coworkers and the clients I get to interact with.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
SO MANY THINGS! Study languages, catch up on reading, bake, run, explore, knit….
What’s the silliest thing you’ve done that actually turned out pretty well?
I don’t know about silly, but the stupidest thing I’ve done is probably that time I went surfing in a thunder/lightening storm. It was pretty amazing – but very stupid.
What are some small things that make your day better?
Snow! Proper punctuation and grammar (e.g., use of the oxford comma), and puns.
What are your thoughts about Window of Clarity?
I think its a really cool program that is beneficial for so many people and I look forward to participating in it.
