Backpacking and camping are how Tammy and Dan recharge themselves, and their love of the outdoors is something we want to share with our employees. This became the inspiration for RDF’s First Annual Opt Outdoors Contest! Starting Memorial Day and lasting through Labor Day, our contest has two prizes – one for the employee who goes on the most hikes and one to the employee who spends the most nights camping!

RDF Levels The Playing Field

Since not all of us own camping equipment, we leveled the playing field and introduced RDF’s Camping Closet.  It’s a simple collection of basic camping and backpacking gear so our employees can borrow whatever they need for their own adventures.  For instance, there’s tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves and other smaller items to help keep spirits alive when exploring the great outdoors. Now we all have an equal chance at outdoor greatness, and nobody can use the old excuse of not having the gear to get outside!
