October 26th – 27th – Pumpkin Display
Many of us have fond memories of looking at Christmas lights in December… October also provides a fun-filled holiday that lights up the night! Start a brand-new autumn tradition at the West Linn Pumpkin Display. Stroll through the warm jack-o-lantern light in amazement of classic toothy grins and detailed Halloween scenes all carved into lovely festive pumpkins! There’s nothing scary about this event, so it’s perfect for even the littlest boys and ghouls.
October 25th – 27th – Portland Mac + Cheese Festival
This weekend at Castaway Portland, a beautiful event space in the NW district, find check out the Mac + Cheese Festival! It’s hard to say if there’s any side-dish as universally loved as mac and cheese. It’s hard to imagine it being any more delicious than it already is. But, the chef’s at Portland’s Mac + Cheese Festival are taking it to the next level with fresh ingredients and even fresher ideas! Even the lactose-intolerant folks get their turn, as dairy-free varieties are available the first night of the event.
October 25th – 31st – Clark County Scaregrounds
Just over the bridge in Vancouver is the Clark County Fairgrounds… but this time of year, we call them the Scaregrounds! This is a Halloween dream come true for the whole family! If you love a good shiver up your spine, you’ll be thrilled by the three haunted house attractions. Prefer something sweeter? There are plenty of not-so-scary adventures for all ages! If you love carnival rides, games, or even shopping, the Scaregrounds is a boo-tiful location for Halloween family fun.
October 24th – 26th – Night Flight’s Fright Night
Night Flight is a troupe of circus-arts performers with a focus on aerial and trapeze. Their creativity and athleticism create an incredible illusion of flight! This weekend at PSU’s Lincoln Hall is Night Flight’s Fright Night, an artistic Halloween performance. Follow the tale of Agatha the witch coming into her power, all portrayed by acrobats suspended in the air. You won’t get a toothache from this Halloween treat – just an evening of utter amazement!
