With summer right around the corner and things working on opening up, we know you’re probably just waiting to get out and do something. We’ve found some more virtual events to help you stay busy and do things around your home.
Virtual Reading Event
If you have young kids at home try joining a virtual read along of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl! Taika Waititi got some of his famous friends, including Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Chris Hemsworth, Kumail Nanjiani, and Benedict Cumberbatch to join in reading the book so you and your family can have some entertainment while being stuck at home. This is happening Friday, June 5th and Monday, June 8th.
Jazz Festival from Home
More people have started to become more creative with bringing festivals and events virtually to you at home. The DC JazzFest is a weekly event occurring every Saturday at 7 PM on the DCJF YouTube Channel and Facebook page that will feature live streamed shows and other fun things from their past. This is meant to be easily enjoyed form the comforts of your home.
Virtual Bingo
If you like bingo, it’s easy to find a game just for you. Many different people are hosting bingo events all over the world. Some of them have some great prizes as well. And if you’re not a fan of bingo, you can get some family members to play a game of your choice to pass some time!
