July 13th – The Big Float
There is a river in the middle of our city. We live at or near its banks, and many of us cross it every day. We host endless events on its shores and use it as a dividing line between the east and west. But, how often do we stop to think about the Willamette river, and our ways of relating to it? The folks at Human Access Project have made it their mission to not only transform our relationship with the Willamette, but to see us fall in love with it. The Big Float is a fantastic opportunity to rekindle your relationship with your favorite river and have a great time doing it! The event begins with a community clean up and ends with a family-friendly party. The main event is a giant group float on a beautiful 80-degree Saturday! Come on down and show your river some love!
