The showcase ranging from anime to documentary to comedy, all touch on issues important to contemporary Japanese society. Collectively, these selections offer a fresh take on Japanese culture and showcase the wealth of creative invention at work in Japan today. This is a great event for film buffs and anyone who takes interest in modern cultures from around the world.

April 4th – 6th – Parsons Dance

Hailing all the way from New York City, David Parsons will bring his unique live show, Parsons Dance, to the Newmark Theater in downtown Portland. With the sounds of New Orleans Jazz and the cutting-edge style of Manhattan, Parsons and award winning lighting designer, Howell Binkley, have paired with some of the best contemporary dancers in the nation to bring this concept to life. World renowned for his brilliant choreography, David Parsons and his team aim to give us an experience to be remembered. April 7th – Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets

Portland and Denver have a lot in common: the beautiful, ever-growing city, the collective love for the great outdoors, and of course, basketball. With eight days left in the NBA season, the Western Conference standings could be turned upside-down with just a couple key games. Portland has vacillated between the 3rd and 4th seeds for weeks, but as the season winds down, things are getting tight! Our last game with the Denver Nuggets was a close call, so make sure you root for our home team at Moda Center this weekend! Get your tickets here.
