It’s the weekend again – and Spring! April 3rd marks the first day of Spring and we are feeling the energy from the sunshine this week. Keep your spirits high with some fun events and activities happening around town, and have yourself a Hoppin’ Holiday this Sunday!

April 2nd – Friday Night Social – Country Night!

Tired of dancing by yourself? Are you feeling a little footloose? Start your weekend right and come support our community by attending this fundraiser event at Shawn Garner Dancing! With three rooms, each offer a different experience, you can choose between Country Line, Country Partner, and Salsa/Bachata! With fair weather, there is even an option to dance beneath the stars! Snacks will be complimentary, and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold for $1-2 each. The event is entirely volunteer-run and they are asking for a minimum $20 donation – or admission is included with a monthly membership, so you can come back as often as you like! So come on down and boot scoot boogie from 7-midnight – but come early as entry closes at 10:30! Swing your partner on by tonight!

April 3rd – Hollywood Farmers Market!

Are you looking for fresh food to complete your Sunday brunch? Have you been dying to expand your trinket collections, or need a last minute basket idea? Look no further than the Hollywood Farmers Market! It is finally open again for the season, and as always, free to attend! Starting this week, the Hollywood Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am to 1pm for the spring season. They are located on NE Hancock St. between 44th and 45th Avenues in Portland, Oregon, just one block south of Sandy Blvd, so it is easy to get there whether you drive or commute on Trimet! Get your weekend shopping out of the way by shopping locally and supporting our community!

April 3rd – Lloyd Center’s Easter Skate!

Anyone with kids knows that it has been difficult finding Easter things to do, so this year bring the family down to the Lloyd Center’s Easter Skate for a chance to meet the Head Bunny himself while getting your skate on! He will make his appearance from 12-3 on Saturday, but skating is open all day! Kids 12 or under will receive an Easter Basket with a valid skate registration. This is a great option for families trying to do something different this year than your traditional egg hunt. Register for your skating experience here – it is $20 to attend, or $16 for anyone 5 or younger. Be sure to select your date and time slot before the fill up today!

Check back every Thursday as we continue to guide you through the weekends with options for outdoor activities, art projects, personal growth opportunities, and so much more!
