The clouds are parting this weekend giving us the chance to take in some long-overdue sunshine. And the city is offering plenty of things to do to feed yourself spiritually, mentally, and physically! Enjoy watching some soccer, volunteer for community service, relax with some yoga, and eat a variety of delicious pizza – what more could you ask for in a weekend?!

Pizza Week – April 22nd – 24th

The Portland Mercury annually teams up with over 30 of Portland’s favorite restaurants for Pizza Week to offer special, one-of-a-kind pizza slices all over town . . . and slices are only $3, whole pies $20. So get out in that sunshine and eat some pizza!

Earth Day Cleanup – April 23rd

SOLVE is excited to invite you to our statewide event this April, the Oregon Spring Cleanup, presented by Portland General Electric. For over fifty years, SOLVE has been supporting the efforts of community leaders around the state who are motivated to take care of their special place in Oregon.  This event has its roots in the Spring Oregon Beach Cleanup (created in 1986) and SOLVE IT for Earth Day (started in 1990). Hoping the Oregon Spring Cleanup will become a family tradition for your loved ones to join with other Oregonians in taking care of our state.

Yoga Expo – April 23rd

The Yoga Expo is North America’s largest Yoga & Wellness Expo and will be coming to Portland for the first time this weekend. There are classes for EVERYONE at The Yoga Expo. This one-day event brings together the local yoga community and offers a wide array of 50-minute classes for beginners, advanced yogis, kids, and everyone in between. The Yoga Expo also features workshops with local PDX life and love coaches, astrologers, and wellness educators and the marketplace is filled with yoga apparel & accessories, nourishing food & beverages, and other offerings to support you in your health and thriving. The ticket includes UNLIMITED classes, workshops, and all-day access. All ages, experience levels, and abilities are welcome. Children under 12 attend free!

Portland Timbers – April 23rd

In 2011 the Portland Timbers became Major League Soccer’s 18th franchise, deeming Portland as the Soccer City U.S.A.  Since then, the name has rung truer than ever, especially after the Timbers became national champions in 2015 when they defeated the Columbus Crew to claim the MLS Cup. Don’t miss your chance to join the excitement and cheer on the Timbers this weekend as they take on Real Salt Lake
