We know it’s still November and Thanksgiving hasn’t happened yet, BUT Zoo lights begins this Sunday and the Portland Holiday Market is back in swing. Kumoricon: Nov. 17th – 19th
Kumoricon has been bringing a slice of Japanese culture to Portland since 2003. It’s a massive Anime convention that showcases cosplayers, performances, and other fandom activities. It will be held at the Oregon Convention Center November 17th – 19th. Entry prices vary depending on what days you want to go. But they have reasonable kid prices. Zoo Lights: Nov 19th – Jan. 7th
A Portland favorite, the Portland Zoo Lights begins this Sunday, November 19th. Held annually at the Oregon Zoo, this year they are offering tickets that once purchased, can be used on any night during the season (called the ZooLights Any Night ticket–to be purchased in advance). Entry depends on when it gets dark, so anywhere between 4:30PM and 7:00PM. Check their website for more information.
Portland Holiday Market: Nov. 17th – 19th.
There are multiple holiday markets that happen in Portland every year, and the Portland Holiday Market is just one of them. It is held at the Portland Expo Center (2060 Marine Dr. W, Portland, OR 97217) all weekend long. There is no cost of entry, but there will be loads of vendors selling their wares. Get your holiday shopping done and support some small businesses while you’re at it (and get a picture with Santa)!
