This weekend’s weather might be a bust for outdoor activities, but there are plenty of indoor activities to check out this weekend in Washington County. This week, we will focus on alcohol-alternative events in Forest Grove, Aloha, and Hillsboro.

Steve Hale – Garage Door McMenamins: March 23rd

This Saturday, the Grand Lodge McMenamins Hotel will be hosting Steve Hale, a local Oregonian singer/songwriter. The concert is free and open to all ages. His music is a little country, a little alternative rock, and it should be a great concert to attend. He will perform at the Garage Door from 7:00pm to 10:00pm so make it a date night with dinner and a show! The Grand Lodge McMenamins is located at: 3505 Pacific Ave, Forest Grove, OR 97116.

Miniature Paint Open Sessions – March 22nd

If you live in Aloha, Oregon and you’re interested in connecting with people who enjoy tabletop games (think Dungeons & Dragons), then you should definitely consider joining the community at Guardian Games for an open miniature pain session from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. The community of painters meets every Friday to paint their minis, talk about the latest news in TTRPGs, joke around, and generally have a good time. It’s open to everyone, but is not a paint lesson, so come prepared with your minis, paints, and enthusiasm for all things TTRPG. Guardian Games is located at: 18105 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy, Aloha, OR 97003.

And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little: March 23rd

The Hillsboro Arts Regional Theater is putting on the widely funny and touching play “And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little” by Paul Zindel. The play follows three sisters who have grown apart and gone their separate ways but come back together after their mother dies. The opening night is this Saturday, and tickets are very affordable, starting at $22/seat. The play starts at 7:30 and the theater is located at: 185 SE Washington St., Hillsboro, OR 97123.
