Finally – a weekend reminiscent of the “old days” here in Portland. We’ve got skating, zip-lining, group arts & crafts, activism, and live music – wow! Is your head spinning? Thought so. And, we’re still being blessed with a little sunshine this weekend, which is the cherry on-top. Just try to contain your excitement long enough to make it through the whole list.

Beginning March 13th – Zip Lining!

The outdoor adventure park, Tree to Tree, near Hagg Lake, is reopening on March 13. The park recognizes and understands concerns about Covid-19 and will continue their strong commitment to providing a safe experience for you, your family, and their team members. Just contact the park for more details and to schedule an event for you and your group.

March 13th – Save the Trees Painting Event (FREE!)

Are you a friend of trees and looking for a little activism this weekend? A group of people concerned about evergreens that are in danger of being removed in the area is meeting up to paint/draw the trees while engaging in environmental activism. Artists are joining together and providing letters/postcards you can sign to send to property developers, owners and urban forestry representatives to ask them to consider incorporating the trees into development plans for the property. There will be light refreshments and you’re asked to bring your own chair and art supplies. This opportunity could lead to having your work shown at the Elisabeth Jones Art Center!

March 13-14th – Roller skating! ($20 event!)

In case you missed this last month, back by popular demand, the Rose City Rollers are hosting a socially distanced outdoor skating event. The event takes place in the Lloyd Center parking garage. Admission gets you skates, helmet, and pads. Bring your own gear and admission is only $10! Admission is limited to 50 people per session, so make sure you sign up SOON! Enjoy the open-air in a covered parking garage for some Spring skating fun.

March 13th-14th – St. Patty’s Day Crafting Fun ($25 event!)

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and Venvino Art Studios is hosting a ‘Make Your Own Leprechaun Trap’ crafting event for the whole family. There are several time slots to sign up for and only five people are permitted per time slot. Reserve your spot today!

March 11th-17th – Live Music (FREE!)

Remember live music and ‘how sweet the sound?’ Well T.C. O’Leary’s has put together a SIX-day lineup of bands to help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day ll week long. The venue will be outside with limited seats, but if you’re looking for a taste of pre-pandemic life you may be able to find it, safely, here. Just be sure to call ahead to confirm there is seating available.

Check back every Thursday as we continue to guide you through the weekends with options for outdoor activities, art projects, personal growth opportunities, and so much more!
