Juneteenth Celebration – June 18th and 19th
2022 is Juneteenth Oregon’s 50th Year Anniversary. Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth “Independence Day” or “Freedom Day”, is a holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 announcement of the abolition of slavery and the emancipation of African American slaves. In 2021 Juneteenth was made a Federal Holiday and later a bill was passed in Oregon for Juneteenth to become a State Holiday beginning in 2022! So come out and celebrate the day with live music, beautiful art, great people, and great food!
Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade – June 18th and 19th
Portland Pride includes a two-day festival at Waterfront Park and an epic, colorful and joyous parade winding through downtown Portland. With food, live music, and nonprofit information booths lining the Willamette River, the festival is a great place to gather, mingle, and get more information about local LGBTQ+ groups. GeekCraft Expo – June 18th and 19th
This craft fair was founded in 2016 by the husband and wife team of comic book writer Daniel Way (Deadpool, Wolverine, The Incredible Hulk, et al) and former Ubisoft community manager Kimberly Matsuzaki. GeekCraft Expo is a collection of curated, geek-themed handmade markets held throughout the year in multiple cities located across the United States…even Hawai’i! Water Lantern Festival – June 18th
Water Lantern Festival is a floating lantern event that is all about connections.
