This Valentines Day weekend, try something different! Whether you’re celebrating with your special someone, your family, “Galentines” or “Guyentines,” experience a weekend filled with lights, shopping, and playing in the mud!
Portland Winter Lights Festival: Feb. 3rd-11th
This weekend is your last chance to catch the spectacular Portland Winter Light Festival! Every year this event transforms the City of Roses into a city of lights. Designed to bring light to the wintry darkness, this free festival returns every winter season with imaginative works that combine light and technology to create interactive experiences. Portland Winter Light returns in a pop-up-like format where light art installations appear throughout the city instead of in a centralized location. The new format and expanded timeline will give visitors more space and time to view installations, minimize crowding, and allow for physical distancing. Visit the Portland Winter Light Festival’s website for maps of installation locations.
Portland Indigenous Marketplace: Feb 10th-11th
Portland Indigenous Marketplace (PIM) is a culturally-specific, community response organization. All members of PIM’s board and staff reflect the community served. As active Indigenous and Black Artists and Entrepreneurs, they utilize their extensive networks to connect with the community. Food and beverages will be available and family and children are welcome. There will be 10-12 vendors each day. Indigenous and Black vendors are ready to help with all your gifting needs. Come out to support this amazing community of vendors!
My Muddy Valentine 5K Obstacle Run: Feb 11th
Join in at the Plumper Pumpkin Patch and begin an all-new era for one of the best obstacle race events in the area. OCR legend Jeremy Kaufmann designs the new course and obstacles. There will still be great features like hot showers and changing rooms for everyone, complimentary beer and food after the event, music, games and local vendors. Don’t miss out on this epic way to spend Valentine’s Day weekend!
