Coast Hills Classic Mountain Bike Race, April 28th

If you enjoy fat-tire competition, you can still register for this annual race in Newport, formerly known as the Ben Eder Memorial. Bike Newport, the Newport News Times, and local volunteers are teaming up with staff from the Newport Parks and Recreation Department to re-ignite this popular event. They have created a diverse and exciting course. Proceeds will benefit the youth programs scholarship fund at the Newport Recreation Center. Visit the race website for early registration and FAQ.

Free Family Fishing Day, April 27th

If you’re fishing-curious, head down to Regatta Park in Lincoln City, 9:30 AM – 2 PM on April 27th, to learn from a certified instructor. No equipment or experience is required. Kids under 11 fish for free. Youth 12-17 will need a $10 license, which can be purchased online at MyODFW.com.

Saturday Art Workshop, April 27th

If you are feeling crafty, Samaritan Center for Health Education is hosting artists Nina Petrovich and Erin Gudge for an exploration of mixed media collage and art journaling. Guided Meditation, April 27th

If you’re just looking to zen out in Lincoln City, Alicia Hibbard is leading this guided meditation event in the Utopia private event space from 11 AM-noon, located at 5040 SE Hwy 101. $5.
